Exergyn Founders

Barry Cullen’s Background.

Barry’s post-doctoral research focused on capturing and storing low-grade heat using Phase Change Materials (PCM) in commercial cogeneration systems. [This project was undertaken with the International Energy Research Centre (IERC), in collaboration with United Technologies Research Centre, Bord Gais, Dublin Institute of Technolgoy & Cork Institute of Technology (DIT, CIT).]

Within Exergyn, it was Barry who first proposed Exergyn’s concept for a Shape Memory Alloy-based engine to convert low-grade waste heat into power. He continues to contribute to Exergyn as a Non-exec Director, expert consultant and member of the Advisory Board.
